Originally intended to be a chimney for John Edward Wainhouse’s Dye Works, Wainhouse Tower is now one of the most recognisable landmarks in Calderdale. Standing at a height of 253ft the tower enjoys uninterrupted views across Halifax and the wider district and visitors can climb it’s 403 steps to take in these vistas. The tower is only open on a limited number of days, however, so please check below for details.
The tower is open on Bank Holidays, between 10am and 4pm (last ascent 3.15pm).
- Adult (16 and over): £3.
- Adult with Passport to Leisure / English National Concessionary Pass (ENCP) cards: £2.50.
- Children (under 16): £2.50.
- Children with Passport to Leisure / ENCP cards: £2.
- Family ticket (2 adults and 2 children): £10.
